To the Stewart Family. I attended South Sumter High School and had Ms. Stewart as a teacher. But no only that my brother Kenny was friends with Delwin and used to go to Ms. Stewart's house in the summer and help her out with things. She was an awesome lady to know. She was always smiling and always made you feel special when she talked with you. She was tough but in a good way. She pushed you to do your best and knew when you weren't. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God Bless Ms. Stewart. Lori V. Marable

This saddens me deeply because I have been trying to find our where Mrs. Stewart moved. She was a great lady and my mentor. She discovered my talent as an artist when I was in her 9th grade Biology class. She encouraged me to pursue art and I went on to get my Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting. I retired from teaching middle school art and am now a full-time self employed artist. Thank you, Mrs. Stewart. I will always remember your smile. Pat Hewitt from South Sumter High School.

So sorry to hear about Mrs. Stewart's passing. Your parents were both a huge influence on me growing up. Your Mom was such a sweet gentle person.

Kenneth and Cheryl, Condolences to you and your families as you move forward after the death of your mother and your children's grandmother (and great-grandmother). In some ways, Mrs. Stewart was like a mother to all of us that she taught. We wish for you peace and comfort and happy memories of her. Love, Wayne and Susan Jones

Dear Stewart Family, I was sadden to learn of Mrs. Stewart's passing. Mr. Sam Coverston talked to me about calling Ken and that she was ill. I taught at South Sumter with both Lucille and Virgil and have many memories of their kindness. I feel I was lucky to know such wonderful people. They were the ultimate professional teachers. Please be comforted by the fact that they touched so many lives in such a postive way. I will alway remember Mrs. Stewart. Sincerely, Elberta
