Thanks for sharing your memories, Teresa. You are so right...daddy was always thinking about others and never worried about himself. We had some good times at Miracle Strip. I can remember all of our sleepovers and how daddy always liked to record us singing and playing the organ. I bet he still has all those tapes somewhere. I will have to try and find them. He loved to go to yard sales, and when mama was working weekends, oftentimes we would get up early and go to Panama City and yard sale until noon, then go to Golden Corral or Ryan's. I remember one particular weekend that Delilah went with us, and she and daddy had an "eating contest" to see who could eat the most. It was a close tie, but I think Delilah had the edge on him with the crab salad!lol!!! I am so thankful for all of the wonderful memories that we had together. The last shopping trip we had together was a couple of weeks ago. Dad had gotten out of the hospital for a few days and wanted to go to Marianna. He, mama, Tony and myself went to Capt. D's, then to the Lighthouse. When we got there, he was really weak, and too proud to be pushed around in a wheelchair. Tony sat him in a chair and brought the tape bins to him, and he picked out about a dozen gospel cassettes. I am so thankful for the many years of wonderful memories that I will cherish forever.

Uncle Bill . . . He was the best Uncle one could have. How many of you have an Uncle who will load you up nearly every other weekend and take you somewhere that YOU love to go and have fun? How many of you (Uncles) take your nieces and nephews out and leave them with a life time of wonderful memories of times shared ?
Uncle Bill loaded Delilah and I, up with his daughter Tammy, a couple weekends every month and took us to Miracle Strip Amusement Park. He never rushed us to leave, he patiently waited on us until we had our fill of fun.
Uncle Bill loved to take out a tape recorder and have us sing, tell stories or jokes. He had just as much fun recording us as we did performing for him.
Uncle Bill loaded us up and took us to the drive-in theater in Blountstown when ever we asked. It did not matter what was playing, he was always willing to go.
Uncles like him are few and far between, and of that I am sure. Uncle Bill was the best and he was "My Favorite Uncle".
